I can say this about my 6.4..... I love it and talking about power. Wow... I'm getting some low numbers in the mpg area. But with less than 200 miles on it, it is no where near being broke in yet. But there is nothing that stands a chance against it. So far I have had a gmc Sierra 2500 with a 6.0 in it. Several 5.7 rams and tacomas. Lol. I want to find me a windshield decal that says Hemi 6.4. Lol. I even have a Ford 2500 with the 6.2 in it and a f150 with the 5.0 in it. Lol.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note II...

hey there bud! im just kindly asking about the 5.7 hemi trucks youve gone up against. did you happen to know if any had the 8 speed? and what gears?

im just curious. :)

what transmission do the 2500 6.4's come with?

Anyone know if there will be any changes for the 2015 Ram? Going to order a new truck in the next 3 months or so and wondering if there would be any reason to wait a few extra months for a 2015 model...

Not much info here: 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 - Changes and Release Date

If you want to read more on the 1500 just Google New 2015 changes for Dodge 1500 truck. As usual there is different sites you can check out.

Apparently a lot of car (well car adjacent) sites think the 5.7 Hemi will get a serious upgrade. Carsredesign.com claims 500 hp and 505 ft/lbs but then they also list the EcoDiesel has 420 nm of torque. Newcarannouncement.com lists a 87 ft/lb increase to 497 but they also have other errors on their page about other cars and trucks.

If they were going to offer the Laramie headlights in the Outdoorsman trim I would def wait but at this rate I'll be waiting for the 2015 just to get an Outdoorsman EcoDiesel without having to get the 20" wheels. Maybe April or May orders will change though

Let's all hope for a SRT 8 in 2015-16

Now that's what I am talking about!!! The Grand Cherokee SRT8 is a monster, and the Ram would be well suited for that package, Brembos and all...
That would be my next truck FOR SURE! :party33:

C'mon....500 HP and 505 ft lbs of torque? how they gonna gain nearly 110 HP and 85 ft lbs of torque all of a sudden, by next year? I call BULLLLLLLLL ****! they probably are using a different method to measure power. LOL

My thoughts exactly when I saw it, wondered where their info could have come from and actually found it kind of funny and couldn't resist posting them. Can't find anything about the 2015s from a site I could trust, I'm thinking after the last light refresh turned into an overhaul the 2015s won't change much other than lighting and 'safety' items.

That's what I thought as well…that's a MAJOR difference in output. One article said these were the #'s and it gets 10% better MPG…I REALLY call BS on that one. You don't get your cake and eat it too with a jump like that...

I too have to agree with both of you. "But," with the high tech society we live in and engineers that have totally different brains than the average person, anything is possible.

Who ever thought we would be posting on threads on a plastic and metal machine or kicking back in your chair, looking at and talking to a person on a monitor who lives in India. It's all been perfected, so again, there may be some engineer who figured out how to put a gob of metal and computers together and come up with more HP and far far better gas mileage.

This actually makes me happy since I just got my truck. I was going to be pissed if three months later they announced a refreshed truck with all of the things that were missing! :roflbow:
