Thanks guys for the pics. I ask cause I bought one a a junk yard and I also bought the premium instrument cluster. When I installed them the instrument cluster had the compass for a minute then it was gone. I have to get the computer flashed then right?

Yeah I have same problem. I don't have the compass and it randomly shows the direction in evic

For the compass to work it must be a 2013+ module. The 09-12 look identical except for the part number and button light color.

Homelink may still work and not show up in the EVIC, but it's my understanding that while it will plug in it will not communicate on the CANBUS network with the newer clusters/radios.

I have the RA3 8.4: radio, the overhead console with overhead lights only, and the small eVIC. Will the homelink overhead console be plug n play, no codes needed??? I have a 2014 Big Horn.

Did your truck come with the RA3? If so, yes it is plug and play.

As stated the Homelink will work plug and play in any 13 and up Ram with the RA2 or higher radio. Actually it will work in any 13 and up Ram with the factory overhead console. One thing to remember is make sure you get the Homelink out of a 13 or newer Ram as the part number is different than the earlier versions.

Since wet were just discussing this in your thread I just noticed that the OP and his dad both had trucks (2014 & 2015) with an RA2 and no overhead console (no compass module) yet the compass heading is supposed to work and does on one of them.

" a working compass RA2 Truck with no o/h console ? Wonder where the compass module is , wonder if these type trucks just use the sxm/GPS puck antenna ?

I know this thread is old , but I've recently found out that the compass heading seems to work when non overhead console trucks have a premium cluster ?
Maybe the premium cluster has a compass module within it or it's utilizing the GPS heading from the radios antenna ?
Can anyone she'd some light on this theory?
