It's noticeably better. Using 4Auto when the streets here get really slick in the rain or the occasional once a year ice we get stock was what I would consider pretty meh. With the C+ it engages smoother and it seems more balanced in the power distribution when needed. It also seems to work just as well as before in 4 Lock or 4 Low.

That's great info thanks! You're the first person I know of that's tried C+ in a 44-44.

I previously tried Amsoil MVATF and it just felt like the clutch was slower to engage, particularly in 4high and 4low. Gonna give C+ a try now.

I was tempted to do a VOA on the Mopar stuff to find something, but I just went for C+ based on the high VI and how the Mopar stuff that was in my T-Case felt. My factory fluid also wasn't looking too hot when I did it at 10K so I figured it couldn't hurt. That being said my truck rarely sees a real need for 4x4 outside of the occasional mud out at the property or ****** street conditions (4Auto). It does, however, see it's fair share of 4Auto launches when I'm in the mood.

Nice to hear Redline C+ is working better than the Mopar Unicorn tears in your BW 44-44 Xsfer case !!
This is the first time I've heard of this [emoji1303][emoji1303]

If I remember right Corey ran redline C+ in his transfer case and was not 100% thrilled with it. I think he said he felt like there was some slippage in the clutches

Cory?

It was Amsoil MVATF that I didn't like in the 44-44. Clutches were sluggish to engage but it shifted in and out of 4 low much better than the unicorn tear fluid. I have C+ in it right now and it feels exactly the same as the unicorn tear fluid. I'll update this winter when I use it more...

Between Amsoil or Royal Purple, I'd go with Amsoil personally.

But Redline C+ is the best ATF+4 fluids out there IMO. Unlike Amsoil and RP which are "one size fits most" ATFs, Redline made C+ specifically for Chrysler transmissions/transfer cases.

I could probably be talked into RP engine oil, but no way would I use their gear fluid. Redline and Amsoil gear fluid are pretty close in performance, their transmission fluids are also pretty equal.
