Ok fellow Ram owners I have searched high and low for answers but have come up empty. I want to swap out my stock exhaust tips on my 4th Gen 1500 to a set of black Go Rhino bolt-on tips. Everywhere I have read said that the stock exhaust is bolt on but after getting up under the truck I noticed that the tips are welded to the exhaust tubes. It does look like there is a clamp on the extension between the tip and the rest of exhaust. Do I need to cut my stock tip off this extension and put on the new bolt on? Or do I need to purchase an extension?

You can always just cut the stock tips off and weld on the new ones whether they can be clamped on or not. I had my clamp on welded just because I knew it was going to be there permanently

Or go with Moe's 5" tips that are clamp on and you get to keep your resonators.
