I bought my truck without knowing much about suspension. I love how the rear air ride work when towing, but I rarely tow heavy loads. There are finally a few 2-3" lifts on the market for this setup, but I fear that just putting new shocks in the rear is not going to soften things up much. I would much prefer a coil setup in the rear with more off-road performance ability and a softer ride for my wife and baby on road.
So long story short, does anyone have experience one of the current lift kits for the factory rear air ride. And is it even possible to convert the rear end over to a coil setup? Unfortunately, getting another truck is not in the cards for me.
