Glad I can be of help, really. You're the only person so far I've seen do the set up I'd love to have and it's stirred my brain crazy because I am torn between your set up and keeping my bumper, adding a light bar with 4 hid off road lights, and getting a set of retro'd hid fogs matched to my headlights.

Ya I like how my set up is, just because there aren't alot like it. If you do happen to do somethingl like mine, it'll be wayyyy more money..lol but totally worth it if you like the look. Musclemckeester has a cool lightbar setup on his truck, probably what i would do if i didnt have my setup. And ya, if you keep your fogs, get'em retro'd. Your heads are sweet, i hope mine come soon. i wanna get some current pics, but waiting for the lights.

Just to clarify, are the Laramie and TRX flares the same?

That mopar site states that they have a medium grained textured finish.
I want a set to match the truck though.

I gues I'm lucky that they come mineral grey already :D

no, mine were smooth. I know mine came off of a Laramie, we painted them to match my truck.

When I say the flares are the same - thats in sizing and fit. Finish, the OEM TRX ones are painted, and smooth. The ones from the Mopar book..........I think aren't.

I think you are correct JJ, pretty sure it's the grainy texture listed in the mopar book for the ones they call the "1500" version. They are Mineral Gray.
The "2500" version is black and also grainy.
Both are paintable.

My dealer told me that the 1500 flares could also be modified to remove the little tab section at the front end of the front flares, so they would finish higher on the truck, near the headlight, and look better with a sport bumper. Does that sound right? Looking at yours JJ, there is a little line there, could it be snapped or cut at that point?

I guess it could be removed, but........I'm not sure it was designed for that
