Hey guys,

My birthday was Monday so I decided to get my first truck 2018 RAM 1500 Crew cab Night Edition. My first mod is wanting to replace the muffler so I can get the best sound out of the HEMI. It just needs to sound good without the drone. What's a good avenue of mufflers to get and are they easily installed? Still learning all about the truck.

A Mufflex system is probably the easiest one to install. It comes in 4 different sound levels all the way to the delete that Brandon-w mentioned. The quietest one which has a 24" Magnaflow muffler isn't quiet by any means.

I don't think you will like the sound of any performance muffler with MDS on (4-cylinders)
Unless you keep the music cranked up........LoL

Carven. Look it up in YouTube they will show you how it sounds. No drone. Muffler delete you will not pass inspection in Texas. Carven is about 350. Plug and play17f79aff995ecf88756a59b615fb547e.jpg

I have the flowmaster american thunder 50 series on my 18 power wagon. I dont think the mds sou ds bad with it. To me it doesnt drone in an annoying way, and when you floor it your low growl turns into a roar that people can hear with their windows up when you pass them.

I just installed the Carven Competitor with 5 inch tips on my Warlock and boy...this truck sounds like a race car now!

As far as with MDS active, I don't really notice much difference. If anything when you are cruising with MDS it almost sounds like a big rig idling!

We currently offer 2 different direct-fit muffler upgrade options for the 5.7L depending on the sound level you are going for. Part #19439 uses our 18" straight-through style muffler, while part #19440 deletes the muffler completely for an aggressive sound. Both can be easily installed in just minutes using basic hand tool-no cutting or welding required!

You can find more information on them by visiting our website below. If you have questions about either system, please do not hesitate to contact us by PM or call at 1-800-990-0905!
