Hey everyone. Just bought my first new truck and I went with a Ram! I have loved them for a couple years but made sure I didn't rush as I plan to keep this truck for many years. Finally pulled the trigger yesterday and I am stoked.

I bought a 2016 Ram 1500 Express with the black edition package, popular equipment package, and several other extras.

Looking forward to being part of the community for years to come!

Thanks guys. I have a couple question right off the bat... I've done research but keep finding conflicting answers to these:

Does the 5.7 Hemi take regular, mid or premium fuel? Dealer told me regular, but some sites say mid or even premium.

Will a tonneau cover really improve fuel economy?

Recommend to run 89. It likes 89.

No on the cover. At least not for me.

Sent from somewhere with confusion.

i have found no difference between 89 and 87 octaine gas in performance or mpg. if i was towing heavy i might use 89. anything above the 89 is just a waste of dollars unless you are running a tune. congrats on the new ride.

I can't get 89 here, I've had no problems with 87.

I've run 87 in mine since day one with no problems. As was said, unless you are running a tune, you will be fine.
