From Spacer level to Bilstein's, is something WRONG?

In this pic you can see the top of the coil. It should be buried up in the housing.

Good observation RubberFrog, I was thinking they needed to be in there more but I have never messed with them so I don't know for sure.

So it must be safe to assume that these are still up in the housing?

They definitely left the spacers in there. You need to go back to the installer and tell them they need to remove the spacers and pay for another alignment.

The shop also noted some things (3rd pic), I was wondering if any of you have experienced them: They stated they were having problems getting the Camber adjusted because of height setting of 2.8 on shocks? Has anyone experienced that?

I lifted my Air Suspension truck via link swap (ended up about 2-1/4" higher in front) and they were not able to get the camber fully within spec. They recommended more frequent tire rotations.

Don't know if that's normal or not. I imagine there is some variation in the parts and assembly procedures that will make each truck unique in how much it can be lifted and still get the alignment in spec.

In this pic looks like the spacer is still on top of the coil. I could be wrong but that's the only logical answer.

Thank you all for the feedback, I greatly appreciate it. So with no spacer in the back, just shocks, should I have the fronts moved to 2.4 in order to keep the level look? I am certain I won't ever go any bigger tire wise (305/55/20). Have folks always done the 2.8 or should I have them set to 2.4 to give it a level or even slight, very slight rake? Thoughts??

I'm at 2.8 with a .75" spacer in the back and couldn't be happier with my setup.

Each adjustment is 0.7" so it would be 2.1" in the next too highest setting. It's a good setting for your setup.

As all the other guys have said, the strut spacers are still in there and need to be removed ASAP. That's terrible for your A-arm and CV shaft angles and definitely will damage the upper ball joint if not attended to right away.

You should be asking the shop to take care of this and another alignment free of charge as this is obviously their mistake.

If you want the truck sitting similar to how it did with just the spacers in then you'll want to drop the Bilsteins to 2.1" as the Mopar spacers are 2" spacers. With the size tires you have that may be your best option to keep everything looking somewhat proportional.

You don't have a whole lot of rake with the 2" spacer on top of the strut as is. I'd go 2.8 and see how it looks. Every truck seems different as to what people need to level them etc

Well as we all suspected, the spacer kit was left in. It appears the head mechanic wasn't there that day which lead to some confusion by the more junior techs, they took the fronts back out, REMOVED the spacers, 5100's set at 2.1, replaced the upper ball joints, washed & waxed and returned to my home free of charge with 2 years worth of synthetic oil changes. People make mistakes but they owned them and then made it extra right. I have a little more faith in humanity restored. Thank you all for your feedback. With the 2.1 setting its exactly as I would want it and the 5100's ride is night and day difference compared to stock shocks and spacer installed.

They really made it right by changing your ball joints. Faith in humanity restored
