Finally got my 2019 crew cab mojave sand warlock home. Drove 14 hours home! I’m in love with the colour! I was very nervous because I’ve never seen the colour in person. Can’t believe how smooth it drives, so easy to speed in.

Should I do a break in oil change? If so, when? What type of oil/filter does everybody recommend?

My 2007 ram 1500 developed a horrible hemi tick/valve tap. Exhaust manifold bolts rusted off. Has Chrysler improved this problem?

I know, I know, I need tires and rims.

Nice truck; the color does look good in person. I don't see too many crew cab Warlock's around, nice grab. My '16 had the hemi tick; it quieted down a bit with full synthetic oil but was still there on startup. At trade-in, my 2016 had 72k miles and I had no issues with the manifold bolts, but I know I read that people were having issues still.

Whenever I do my first oil change (I’m thinking at 3k KM) I’ll be switching to full synthetic.

Awesome looking truck! Hope you have all the best luck with it. On the manifold bolts, I replaced 4 on my 2003 2500 about 3 years ago. My new truck, so far so good.

I definitely neglected my 2007. I hit a deer and it was all downhill from there. Lots of maintenance that should have been done, wasn’t.

I’ve heard of guys upgraded the manifold bolts right off the lot. I won’t be doing that, so my fingers are crossed.

To answer the question you asked about oil, I did a break in change at 1000ish miles and do not regret it. I use mobil 1 (the "plain" one) or castrol syntec 5w20 depending which is on sale. Mopar oil filter they're inexpensive if you buy a bundle of 5 or 6 on ebay and thats a couple years worth for most drivers.

I have zero start up tick and no engine problems 5 years in but only 37k miles so far.

I agree with the crowd about leaving the wheels as is. I really dig the hood as well. Good looking truck all around, congrats.

Great looking truck. Good luck with it. I agree with the crowd. Leave the wheels and tires alone. Granted the tires they put on these trucks at the factory are a little small looking and rather non aggressive for our big trucks, use them for a while. Then when you are ready, try something like a 33x12.5x20 on your factory wheel. That’s what I did. I love the factory wheel, and with that size tire on it, it looks legit. In the meantime if you want to make the truck look a little bit more aggressive, put a set a 1 1/2” Bora wheel spacers on it. You will need those down the road anyway if you want to go with the larger tire I mentioned earlier. Anyway, just my .02. Best of luck with the truck, it’s beautiful.

Man, that is a good looking truck !

I would for sure go to a full synthetic, quality oil. Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is Mopar approved.. I've had no issues at over 40K.

Man, that's a good looking truck !

Congratulations! Love the Mojave too. Certainly stands out and every Mojave warlock I happen to drive pass, gives me a wave like Jeep owners do. Must be a new unwritten thing.

I put some black lug nut covers on mine because the chrome ones really stuck out in that package in my eyes. Didn’t find good reviews for black lug nuts but for $20 I put covers on. If you’re considering spicing the wheels up that is.
