Hello Everyone!
Looking for aa little help. Been to two mechanics and are having a problem finding the problem.
I own a 2014 5.7 1500 Sport
Problem: Drive side Front Window switches (Driver/Passanger windows), Mirror and Power Locks do not work. But the Back window swithces work no problem. Passanger side switches OK, rear switches are OK.
Solutions so far: We have replaced the driver switch panel twice now (Mopar (68620448AA)) - Works fine for about a week (tested and cleard by mechanic and worked fine taking home), then out of no where, just stops working. One time stopped after I rolled up the driver window, other time on morning start. First mechanic changed the panel - worked for about a week. Second mechanic (same shop, different guy) changed the switch again and check the door, boot and traced the line to the BCU, no obvious grounding or broken wires - worked fine for 3 days. All pins in the switch were confimred working and wires were checked for voltage - all seemed fined according to mechanic.
Basically, i've been told there is not much they can do without tearing out the dash and doing a detialed inspection.
I guess what i am wondering here is
1) is there a chance i've had three faulty door switches that all fail the same way?
2) Is is a common issue anyone else has had, and found a solution?
3) does this sound like a ground fault in the line, which is blowing the switch?
4) On the back of the door switch, there is two connectors, one large and one small. Does anyone know what controls what? I am assuming the larger is the front windows, mirrors and door locks. i'm not very good at reading wire diagrams.
5) Do i bite the bullet and take it to the dealership to look into?
Thank you in advance for any assistance!
