Help no heat in my truck

Its winter time and getting cold. my heat in my 4.7 hasnt worked in a while now it starts to blow warm on low then goes to cold any ideas.

Probably and bad heater core. Try back flushing the system.

yea shop did that i just had to get a new water pump and belt so they flushed the system and heating core

I'm not a mechanic but I don't understand why they would replace water pump that doen't leak (which is expensive) when heater core back flush my have solved problem.

pump was leaking bad should have stated that. So they changed that and the belt and flushed everything while changing them.
