Can anyone give me some advice on why my drivers side Hid is dimmer then my passenger side? I have the GTR 55w kit. Do I need to clock my bulb? Does it look like an alignment issue or something else? Any help would be great.

Thanks

I actually have the same thing on my morimoto kit thats 35w thought maybe it was the bulb or ballast but I switched them and the brighter side became the dimmer side. Not sure why but my only thinking is something with the factory system that makes output slightly less on driver side to keep blinding down. Just much more noticable when you up the lumen output more I guess.

Wouldn’t this make you think it’s the bulb or ballast if the output got brighter on the drivers side after you switched them?

Brighter side became the dimmer side as in I moved both from passanger to drivers side and it was then less output. The prior drivers side that was less output now on the passanger side is much brighter than before hence why I believe it is something with the factory wiring. Honestly I thought it was just my truck until I saw your post about it.

I just did the GTR 35W HID install. Lighting is AMAZING. But yes I have the same exact issue.. . Drivers side is just oh so slightly dimmer than passenger side.

Mine is like this also. I bought the Morimoto kit, and installed it in the factory projectors. My drivers side is considerably dimmer, haven't gotten around to swapping sides, which now seems unnecessary. I am just going to deal with it for now, and do a full retrofit in the spring.

Here are my side by side comparisons. It’s hard to see and it doesn’t affect the lighting output on the road... but it’s enough for me to notice.
