hid light conversion kits

i think im gonna pull the trigger on some blacked out euro style light pretty soon and was thinking i might as well upgrade the light source as well. Ive looked online at some kits and found some good prices but i don't know if there cheap crap or not. what is the average price for a decent set and what are some good brands.

Some people like DDM hids, their cheap but they work for some people, those are $40-60 i think. I bought HIDs from Hidextra.com and they should be here monday or tuesday, and those are $80 normally. you could spend as much as $180-200 i think

yah i like the sound of what you got, 80 sounds about right for me. im not looking to spend a fortune. keep me posted when you get them hooked up id really like to know how they turn out.

haha yah, i just looked at some for my 2nd gen on the same site you suggested and there only 60 bucks, which is good cause im not spending a lot on the housings either.

Thats not bad at all then, Ill let you know on the quality. I dont know if the 2nd gens have any flickering issues or anything like that, that the 4th gen do though

Ive purchased the HIDEXTRA ones and they are crappy , really cheap harnesses and plugs and crap customer service.

I got some from a friend thats a dealer for $80 and they are lifetime warranty. I had no flickering with my headlights ( I also did the black out euro ) But im running into flickering problems with my fog lights now that its getting colder. Im going to have to upgrade the wiring from the fog light relay to the HID harness.

Customer service at hidextra was good for me, answered all my emails right away. I'm not using their harness or anything, just bulbs and ballast for my hellas

My problem was DOA ballast and a bulb that lasted 2 days, for one vehicle and they forgot to ship a relay harness for my truck. 2 months later I finally get the parts I need.

how do i know i need one. cause a sight i looked at said 99 and up dodges need the canceler. what does it do anyway.

You don't need one. The warning canceller is for a "Headlight out" idiot light on the dash.

Our trucks don't have that luxury. haha

I got my 55w 6k digital kit installed yesturday and holy **** what a night and day difference from the crappy stockers. Just need to play with the aiming now.
