Hole in brake line

Randomly, I lost pressure in my brakes. Took it to the mechanic and he said that he found a hole in the steel line. Also said it’s highly unusual (no death threats, no rodents) and looks like it was manufactured that way. Anyone else had this problem?

Your truck listed is an 07 so honestly not bad. Yes some go forever without issues. It’s not unheard of for a brake line to rust or anything. If it had a nick in the coating they’ll rust a pinhole in them. Any chance you have a picture?
