30k, no issues ::knock on wood::

100xs better than the previous 5 and 6 spd.

IMO

I agree my last truck was a 208 ram with the 6 speed. I like the performance of the 8 speed and Love the dial shifter. for my the column shifter just got in the way.

Well, um, I'm on tranny #2 and valve body #2 on tranny #2

Just hit 41k last week. Original tranny was replaced @ 19k-ish due to a whine/whirring noise when in reverse (for the record, did not push or ask for trans to be replaced, had them "note" the noise and 3 days later I get a call telling me I was getting a new tranny). It operated flawlessly and I hoestly had some reservations about my new truck having the trans swapped since it operated just fine..............so after the new trans was swapped in, had to have the valve body replaced since it would not shift out of 7th gear if traveling in excess of 73 mph.

Having gone thru this experiance, I still absolutely love the 8 speed and don't regret for a second trading in my 2010 after only 10 months of ownership to get it! Sometimes stuff happens, whatever, love the way this thing drives, especially with the 3.92's!

Nearly 11,000 miles with 3.92. Love it and no problems, knock on wood. Dealer wanted to do the latest re-flash and I refused. Working fine, let it be.

Just shy of 35K and working great. I might be running it a little hard with 3.21s and 295/60r20s but trans temps always stay right where they are supposed to be, even when towing a small travel trailer.

Well all the snowmachining I do sure doesn't help the old odometer. Closing in on 50K miles in the last year and a half. Towed with it on 40 trips this year and another 20 last year. Track season is coming up and we will be heading there as well. Haven't had any major issues and I absolutely love the truck. Born and raised Chevy my whole life and when I got this I didn't know what to expect and its blown all of my expectations out of the water.

Over 46,000 miles now with several thousand miles of towing and some racing thrown in.

Zero issues. I love this transmission. Best damn automatic transmission in any vehicle I've ever driven.

There are about 12 EcoDiesels approaching, at or are over 200K miles with no transmission issues and many of these tow routinely.

29k miles here and no issues other than if you stop to fast, 1st gear will kind of hit harder then normal but nothing that concerns me. By FAR much better than the 5spds.

just under 16k on mine with no issues. Only complaint is the slight bump when downshifting from 2nd to 1st. Always check my mirror to see if I got hit. I think my tranny chuckles at me every time.
