Finally. All working

Do you have the heated mirror/rear window button that you can press on the screen or is it grayed out?

What kind of money does it take total to get this to work?

It really all depends. I'm assuming you have a 8.4 in your truck already. If you are looking for a completely plug and play installation, then I estimate the following..

M2 Mods MTC to ATC conversion harness - $100
ATC OBDGenie - $200
Cabin Temp Sensor $27-$40

If you are comfortable terminating and splicing wires, then you could cut the cost of the harness down some.

Should there be a temp indication other than the outside air and the slider?

I'm pretty sure Rick did and commented on it in a previous post. Honestly, I've never tried it.

No not that I know of. If you are not on the climate control screen and you adjust the temp, you should get a box at the top of the screen that shows the temp that you are setting it to.

Yep looks like it working correctly and voice commands are working for temperature changes at least to the point it understands what I am saying.

This mod is awesome! I haven’t looked at my climate control screen since I did it!

I will confirm this does work with Alpine ilx-107 and idatalink Maestro, only it doesn’t recognize single zone, only dual. I’m waiting to hear back from idatalink. No ill effects, especially when I never look at that screen.

Well, I have successfully pulled off a single Zone ATC bezel mod after about 8 hrs of work and repairing a partially damaged board. Very difficult to do without a $1000+ SMD repair station, but it can be done.

I would give this a 9 or 10 on the difficulty scale because of the small size of the components/traces.

Big thanks to @00R/T for some great notes and pointers to pull it off!

Have to cut some traces on the ATC board, remap the buttons with 28awg magnet wire, and switch the left side LEDs and current limiting resistors. Plus use the button assy from a single zone...

Edit:
Pictures/details moved to posts 3 & 8.

ATC bezel mod notes copied to posts 3 & 8. I need to remember to upload this to Flickr so they don't get deleted later by Tapatalk's host server.
