Does anyone know how to set the exhaust brake to always on rather than having to turn it on each time I start the truck?

It's on a 2012 2500.
I don't have any tuners or chips on it yet.

I wouldn't because there are some towns and cities where they are illegal and you could get a ticket for having it on in those places. Fyi

Thank you for the legality warning. I will however take my chances as the restrictive use of Jacobs brakes within city limits applies only to trucks larger than 5ton. Diesel pickups do not have the sheer volume associated with their Brakes versus that of a semi-tractor unit, unless they have already loud modified exhaust.

its not even a jake brake anyway...

never seen a way to have it on all the time, could be done with some custom tuning maybe, or bypass the switch all together perhaps if ur willing to hack into wiring.

It's not possible to have it on all the time even with custom tuning. You have to push the button if you want it on.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to suffer without it always on.

Just weird how my trucks at work can do it, but my personal can't.

Are your trucks at work rams? 4500 or 5500 series? Maybe there's a difference?
