for at least at 1st I am. I'm going to see how it sounds with the res. I have a nice black tip on the way to the shop too just in case I want to cut the res out and dump it with a tip.

I think you would be surprised at how mild the 6.4 is with a straight pipe and resonator left on. Its s popular setup for the 6.0 chevy guys too.!

Im kicking myself for not going that route and hoping to satisfy my craving with the resonator removed

It’s pretty rediculously loud on a cold startup, especially on a cold morning. But once it idles down it’s fine. I don’t regret mine for a minute.

On a related note, what did you guys do with the land yachts that came out from under the truck, aka the stock muffler? Mine is sitting in my parts department and I’m sure they’re tired of kicking it around. Trash can? With anything as scrap?

When installing my Mufflex I started the truck without the muffler. It was loud but not as crazy as you’d expect. I honestly think a stock Scat Pack is about the same noise level cold-starting in my garage. Just a much cleaner sound. Those SRT cars punch you in the chest when they cold start.


I would run the RAM without a muffler, but just worry about drone on long trips. I feel like it would get to me. Maybe you guys can report on how it is with no muffler but resonator still on. Also wondering how MDS will be on the highway with no muffler

A local fab shop might take it and let you throw it into their steel dumpster for free they will get scrap money for it. Or you can take it to your local scrapyard and have it weighed and get paid

I love the sound of my mufflex muffler delete with the resonator on. I just wonder what it woyld be like without the resonator. I dont really want more noise but i wamt that ugly **** off. Im getting by mail tomorrow my black rbp tail and i migjt just install it with the resonator. Not sure yet. Sure would like to hear anybody here with muffler delete and no resonator.
