Hey so after months of research and reading through countless threads, I have come to a conclusion. I want to install bilstein 6112 and 5160 on my truck. I called a shop today to get a quote. They quoted me $1785 for parts, labor, and alignment. Part include 4 corner shocks and a 1” rear spacer. I asked what if i bring my own part and they said it would be around a 5-6 hour install at $112/hour, plus alignment. Does sound right or should I continue shopping around? I also want to upgrade tires, but dont have in my budget rims. So i will be sticking with my stock chrome clad 20x8. Would 35x12.50 work? Thanks in advance to any responses.

I'd be shopping elsewhere, I paid $285 including alignment. Granted I didn't replace the rear shocks but that should be 15 minutes at most.

Hey just an update. I finally made my purchases. I got bilstein 6112 for the front. 5100s for the rear and to complement the level i got 275/65/r20 falken wildpeak at3w. Some people may say it is overkill, but i also went with zone uca. I only have one shot to make my project work and i better make it the right way.
I also think i have a shop i will get all this installed at. Hopefully can make it happen in the next 2 weeks. I am excited to see my end result.

One question though. Rear coil spacer? I would like to see my truck with as little rake as possible, but not look nose high. Does adding more than a 1” spacer make the ride quality worse?

Any response is appreciated. I have learned quite a bit on this forum. Thanks to all that have contributed.

So i ended up ordering a 1” tgc coil spacer.

One other question or more so looking for advice. I haven’t even gotten it leveled and I want something else. Would having it level and a 1.5” body lift look bad with 34” tires?
Any input I greatly appreciated.

Ah, Christmas in March, gotta love new mods!

1.5” bodylift would look good, Rams are one of the few trucks that you can’t actually tell it’s a BL unless you don’t adjust the tailpipes,Thank you Ram for drapping the body so far below the frame!

Setup will look good with 34’s. I won’t lie, with the stance and room you’ll want 35’s but that’s just because.

Getting home from work and to see this out front of my house sure is a good feeling.

If i would have had the money i would have gotten 35s and new rims, but being that i am sticking with stock rims i had to do 34s. Only an inch difference. With is what is completely different.

Assuming my spacer gets here in the next couple days. My truck goes in friday to get everything installed. Can’t wait.

First I have to say I am really satisfied with the way my truck turned out. Truck rides really good. Handle road imperfections like a boss. Truck really recovers well over bumps.
I gained 4.5” in the front and a little over 3” in the rear.
Bilsteins 6112 on the front set to max, rear 5100s, 1” rear spacer, zone ucas, 1.5” zone body lift, and 34x11r20 falken wildpeak a/t3w. I will post later my total investment in my truck. All i can say now is i was not expecting to spend this much, but i am happy which is what matters.

So as stated a couple days ago i was going to update with a final investment price. I bought my truck in oct of 2016. Ever since then i have been looking through threads, reading information and becoming informed on what to do and how to go about it. I initially wanted a 4” lift, but after reading that without proper shocks ride quality would really suffer it became out of my budget to do a nice coilover system lift. So i thought next step level. See how i like it and go from there.
I decided to do bilsteins 6112/5100. That was all i wanted at first, but then i thought that is really not much of a difference in lift so next best thing a combo lift which is where the 1.5” body lift came into play.
Anyhow tires were 1084.40
Parts- 1321.15
And what I ended up paying at the shop which included parts install, tire mounting balance, alignment, and zone body lift 1539.12
Total investment 3944.67
It really is a considerable amount of money for a level and body lift, but i did not have anyone to really help me with install and 2 other shops i called wanted 1000+ just for install of bilsteins and uca.
I am really happy with the way my truck turned out and how it looks. I smile every time i look at it.

If you are still reading thanks for sticking through this and thanks for your time.

JayRam15 - looks great!!!

I am not too jazzed on the install price as it does not seem overly difficult for me to do on my on. So a question for anyone with experience doing the work yourself... how difficult is it? I really am not a "tinkerer", but would love the feeling of accomplishing this on my own. I want to do the Bilstein 6112's up front set to highest with the 5160's in back. I also want to add the Zone UCA's. Like I said, I am typically a chicken when it comes to doing stuff like this on my own, but I really want the satisfaction of working on my own new truck.
