Honestly, don't know that I noticed a difference. But it was $20, and I've wasted $20 on worse.

Thanks for chiming in. The good thing is you bullet proofed the mechanism if and when the rubber bushing eventually and inevitably fails.

Dodge Ram Intermediate Shaft Bushing (Pair)

Dodge Steering Wander Fix. If there's one thing we have noticed, it is that the Intermediate Steering Shaft on a Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500/4500 has this bushing that gets pounded out and causes an issue with steering. Fix it using this inexpensive pair of aluminum bushings to press into the shaft...

I went out and snapped a pic...I installed them with a small c-clamp.

There are others online that talk about going to a hardware store and getting rubber tubing to do the same thing for about $1 instead of $20. I guess I'm spoiled (blessed, more accurately), that my time was worth the $20 to not fiddle-fart with other solutions.

Same thing I did, then installed a band clamp afterwards for a little extra insurance
