yea, i was planning on offering lower, cause all i want is the body, dont care about the engine and trans he has. i wanna go bigger for those. most of it i was just gonna trash anyhow. but want the whole interior original, and probably a bigger stock engine. not sure. started talking to my pops about it. would be a great project to do with my dad.

Its kind of a weird year to find some stuff thats a direct fit. We have a '74 thats the same body lines and finding stuff is right ruff. If ya have to put a fuel tank in it like we had to do in ours a Chally tank fits but is 2 gallons smaller and has more open room on the front of the tank between the floor pan and tank. That being said it would be fun since your looking to mod it anyways and will do alot of fabbing to start with.

It wouldnt be to bad putting that motor in there. Your best bet would be finding a good block and build it from that. Painless wiring makes a kit. Your best friend will become the Summit catalog along with Year One for trim peices. The front support on those cars move so the BB can be put in there.

It is an SE apparently, it would be pretty cool to clone an RT for the most part, then you'd have an RT/SE. With the right stuff it'll be a sharp ride.

You'd never find anything like that around here. They've all rusted into the ground. Not a bad start really.

Can't view the Link (my problem) but a rolling 71 of that type in these parts would be 3-4K.
I remember as a Boy when those where on the lot with 383 Magnum on the hood, they were my favorite (besides the 69 AMX 390).

It's pretty rough but if yer willing to tackle a total frame off, you could do it.

The SE car replacement parts are hard to find but there are places that sell repop R/T parts that you could create a clone pretty easily.

Look up parts before you even look at it to see if parts are available to do what you want to it!

Already am! But ive only looked at axles, engines, tranys so far. I want those first... Even though you gotta get the body done first hahah. Me and my pops have been talking about it. Would be a great mid life crisis for him. LOL

And i found another one with the 383 in it for $2k think i might go with that one. Lot of roof rust though. I have this next weekend off so i might give him a call. Im only worried about time... Working 5days a week. My 2days off are just slammed packed with things... But it woulf bring back memories when my dad and i used to work on our 66 mustange. If we didnt sell it thats what id be driving now. Think i coulda done some cool things to that bad boy. Sorry, i talk alot....

I would not buy it. The car looks like a backet case...you would have to put a "LOT" of money into it to get it looking "NICE". Now, if it was a R/T , SuperBee, or HEMI car I would say "YES" but not a SE 318 car.
