It looks like its just a reciever plate and the install manual shows that the truck should already have a bar installed for this to mount to?

Truck is a 1500 sport night edition

Edit: I just verified that I do in fact have the cross bar that the installation diagram shows. I just want to verify that this part is the correct part for a class iv hitch receiver to be added to my truck

Also is this a class 3 or a class 4 hitch?
Thanks

When I was looking for my receiver I was confused because I found class 3 & 4 like the one you're looking at and I found class 3 & 4 in the full frame mount receiver. What I found is just look at the weight rating. If it's rated to handle what you're towing go for it and that one will handle more than your truck is rated to tow. I went with the Draw tite full frame class 4 receiver rated at 12k tow 1200 hitch with a w/d hitch.
