Key FOB stuck

2017 Ram Big Horn 47k miles

New Battery 8 months ago, stopped at the tire shop and now the key Fob is stuck in the switch on the dash. Seems to operate properly but can’t remove it. Truck seems to shift ok, starting and turning off alright? Help please

It’s ok now…. Turned steering wheel hard right, let off and it alowed me to remove the key. Seems like it is normal for now. Comments welcome. Thanks gang

I have experienced it also , when it happens it is wise not to panic and force the issue the hole or your FOB is contaminated and needs to be cleaned. It can be removed but gently.

Try wiping both with a lint free cloth maybe denatured alcohol for the FOB but don’t saturate
Also don’t use any liquid in the hole.
If you use anything like dielectric grease it will only attract dust or dirt

You key goes into the steering column and not the dash ?

An air duster that’s sold in office supply stores might help.
