Looking to add a level kit to my 06 1500 2x4. the kit is 3" front with 2" rear blocks. I have a big horn w/ 20" wheels & stock 275/60/20 tires which are a hair short of 33". Can anyone post pics with a 2 1/2'-3" level with 33" or 35" tires. I'll probably never go off road & dont want to invest in an M/T which seems to be all I find in 35". dont want to regret too short a tire by going with a 33 once the kit is in. thx

A 3" level up front will give you bad cv angles and likely shutter in 4wd. Stick with a 2.5" up front.

As far as 35s, a ton of 02-05 guys are going to tell you it will work. That's mostly because they don't understand that 06+ switched to a strut suspension up front, whereas they have a torsion bar suspension. Totally different.

You can run 35s in a straight line no problem, but they will rub on every speed bump, every full lock turn, and maybe even in and out of your driveway.

I ran 35s with a level and hated it. I added a bodylift and it was perfect. Sometimes I wish I stayed with the bodylift and level.

George that is great info, but he is 2x4 and doesn't have to worry about cv angles.....lol. However i agree that he run 33's with just a level..........3" body lift if he want's 35's

Butch ...
2x4 = a section of wood
4x2 = a truck

This is a link to the kit I was considering.

02-08 Dodge Ram 1500 Full 3" + 2" Lift Kit for 2WD

Trying to determine if a 33" A/T would look good with a lift like this or have too much wheel gap for my taste. Cant seem to find anything other than an M/T at 35" and don't want to sacrifice wet pavement traction. Keeping stock 20" rims until my budget allows an upgrade, but tires are almost to down to wear tabs so not much time to make my decision before the wet weather season.

I personally would not use a kit like that from ebay. I would prefer to get one from a reputable company.

Tire size at this point is going to come down to personal taste. Some people love the look of 35's stuffed with just a level and some others don't.

go with a name brand, they will back there product up even though it says they will on that link you still have to be weary. readylift makes a 2.25 level which will run a 33 12.50 right now your a 32.9 by 11 roughly so the width will make it look better plus most measure like 33.5 so they would look good

I appreciate the feedback. I like the idea of the 2" blocks in the back, but not finding the 3"x2" option through too many vendors. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Thx guys. I've shot a PM over to Hell Bent to see if he can supply a 3"x2" kit. Will keep you posted. If anyone can post a couple of pics with the 33" tire with a similar level (2"-3") I'd really appreciate it.
