I have a 2013 ram SLT 4x4 and would like to start doing the lift so i been researching and its getting confusing

I mean you have ProComp vs Tuff Country vs BDS and leveling lift kit front and spacers in the back prices very alot

what is the max height using the spacers front and back with not having to replace shocks or etc?

Probably just a leveling kit. HBS has a 2.5" kit.

If you are just going to lift it later down the road I would say just save for that, I did a leveling kit on mine and now wish I had just saved for a lift.

thinking I would do the 4" leveling kit up front then add 2" spacers in the rear
just dont want to change the shocks and all the other parts

I did that way on my dakota also with a body lift to get it up to 5" and fit 33"

You can't get a leveling kit that big. You'll have to do a full suspension lift kit to go 4".

Or what you could do is a 2" leveling kit and a 3" body lift for a total of 5" lift. That's what I did. You'll still spend just under 2K to go the route I did, but that's $1000 less than a suspension lift installed. Pics below:

What 3.5" leveling kit have you found? Do you have a link? Going over 2.5" will throw your CV angles out and do damage to your truck

Biggest I've ever seen was a 3" spacer. I have 2.5" front and 1.5" in the rear. I can almost guarantee that you will pop the ball joints in the upper control arms with anything over 2". My 2.5" popped both my front ball joints out slightly, however you can get a new set of mevotech uca's for about $50 a side from rockauto and they'll have no issues. But if all you want is to run 35's you can do that with just 1.5" in the front.

Bilsteins maxed will clear 35x12.50x20s. Don't buy that junk spacer ****.

There's nothing wrong with buying a quality spacer. I've ran them on 2 Rams now with no issues. I'd never recommend buying the really cheap ones, but spending a it extra on a good steel kit won't hurt.

Do not go over 2.5 inches with a spacer/leveling kit. Your CV and ball joint angles will be too severe to last any length of time.

Look into the new maxtrac level kit. They have a 2.5 spacer kit that they say doesn't effect the ball joint. It's a combination kit that lift the shock 1 and a 1.5 spacer for on top the combination allows the ball joint to work in its proper range of motion still. It's a high dollar kit I think it's almost $200 but it appears to be quailty stuff, I also herd good about bilstines and rancho quick lifts, with proper offsets( I don't know off hand) you should get. 35-12.5 with very little to no rub, if you rub some you can always take a heat gun and mold your Inner liner back some.

Like jstacey said....you can get adjustable shocks that go up to 2.8 inches in the front...and upgrade the rear shocks and throw on a spacer. That's what I did. Just waiting for my stock tires to wear down a little more, then upgrading them next year.

Truck name: Rampage
2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad
Audio upgrade
LED smoked tailgate upgrade

I dont know anything about these shocks
so they do the lift the front so you dont have to do spacers then add spacers in the back
I been looking up these shocks but dont understand what one's I should be looking at
Is it as easy as just change shocks and you have 2.8 lift and no front spacers and all set
