Lifted mileage

Just finished the first leg of a 2500+ mile road trip. I completed the first part of the trip running my 89 HF tune and was getting 21.5 mpg on the freeway with cruise set at 61. Pretty impressive for as big as my truck is and the light bar on the roof. I tried the 87 canned tune and lost 1.5 mpg.

I didn't , my evic has been right on with hand calculations in the past

If you're changing tunes your EVIC is most likely way out to lunch. Even if it's been accurate in the past that doesn't say anything about the present since tuning has been changed. You need to hand calculate for accurate numbers. Anything else isn't credible IMO.

How many miles per tank? Quickest way to see if the EVIC is even close.............assuming your speedo is calibrated.

That's pretty good! Guess I need to slow down on the Hwy, I'm lucky to get 17mpg these days...........

Hell I'm lucky to get 16. But then again I'm always at 85-90mph

So I just got home from my trip. I picked up a tent trailer in Fresno it weighs in at just under 3000 pounds. On the return trip there was a noticeable loss in mpg for obvious reasons. I only hand calculated the last tank of gas which was about 80/20 hwy/city a mountain pass and lots of hills. Hand calc 15.13 evic 15.08. Damn good numbers I say.

I wonder how you guys are achieving such great results. I use to get 19 hwy at 70 mph when my truck was all stock. With the lift and tires i'll be smiling from ear to ear at 16 hwy at 70 mph and 14.5 city. Are you guys running regular 86 gas or premium?

Im running a hemi fever 89 octane tune with 89 in the tank. I found that 61 MPH is my sweet spot where I get the best mpg so that's where I keep my cruise control set.
