Depends on how many miles you drive. My friend had the nontransferable Lifetime unlimited bumper to bumper warrantee (The Doug DeMuro famous warantee) on his 2012 1500 Tradesman. 4 years isn’t long... not much can go wrong. But 100k miles is quite a bit. If you drive 100k miles in 4 years I’d say go for it, but if not forget it... my friend had his rear end go out at 120k miles, tranny at 125k miles, engine cyl. 5 misfire leading to him needing a new engine at 118k miles, and a bunch of little issues such as excessive vibrating in MDS mode. All these issues were when the truck was 5-7 years old and over 100k miles. He had not a single issue till he hit 155-130k miles. Now its problem free again, and has been for 30k miles. If you tow/haul often, which you said you didnt do often, then you should be under the “normal” driving criteria and for 4 years/100k miles, I’d say skip it.

Remember that the years and miles start at the in-service date of your truck so your warranty will be done in 2021 on the date you bought the truck. I'm going to buy one for my 19 but I'm going to buy the 8 yr one so it runs to 2027.

$3290 + $100..... oh hell no!

You can fix a lot of stuff for $3400. That is IF it breaks in the first place, which it probably won't.

Search "Dave Ramsey on extended warranties" on YouTube. He explains extended warranties really well.

I bought the 8yr/85000 plan for my 2019 3500, yes it starts from day you buy the truck so its really a 5yr/50000 plan. I paid $1800.

Discussing a Service Plan on any forum is just going to result in a urinary trajectory contest that interests me not at all.

That said I've been in the market for an 8yr/125mi Mopar plan for my 19 Laramie. I've been searching for about a month on all the usual sites Ziegler, Mopar warranty and the like until I saw a post a week back about Robbins Motors in KS. Used the email address in the post and found they were substantially less expensive than the other mentioned. Email Clay at [email protected] and I think you'll be glad you did. Discussed pricing last Thursday and had the plan in-place Friday.

There was no reason to try to get my dealer to match as they have treated me very well but their interest in selling a plan is CNA above all others.

Every time I see one of these threads I'm glad I got the lifetime Maxicare warranty on my 2017! It gives a lot of peace of mind even though I have never had to use it.

I paid $3200 for the max care in on a 17 sport. Already have 80,000mi in two years. It's worth it to me for the driving I do. My understanding is they don't offer it. If they do, go that way.

33k miles on my 18 in a year and a half.. definitely going to blow though the factory coverage in no time. Glad to have the lifetime Maxcare.
