True. But there are trim parts that you can't get as of 20 years ago. lol

Can't get tailgates for the 70s trucks either.

i got the skill but don't always have all the equipment or space to do stuff. sometimes i build tools as i need the. hoping to build a sandblasting cabnit this summer. really could use one so that i can use fancier stuff like crushed walnut to clean things.

No room at all here.

All areas of storage are filled with my mom's crap.

Couple pictures of how I have my 14 x 3 set up in case anyone should need them:

Like my spacers? :naughty:

Also, I'm pretty certain (about 95%) that the little capacitor thing on the cluster is why my gauges don't always cooperate with one another. :flame:

I like the 14x3. I think I may get one for mine. How much do those run?

This one was $39.99 at O'reillys.

Order it online and it's almost 10 bucks cheaper. You're likely gonna need the spacers like I did.

I bought a Mr. Gasket air cleaner adapter and riser kit at O'reillys for 10 bucks. PN 6411G

Well, I'm trying to clean the bottom end of the engine and this Gunk Heavy Duty isn't doing much. Weird.

Tried it on the rear end, still nothing much. :uhoh2:

Does that stuff need to soak to work? The engine degreaser I got requires it sits for 20 mins before you remove it.

This didn't say anything about that....maybe I glazed over it. :uhoh2:

Anyway, I got bigger problems.....I found why the drivers side valve cover leaks: it only has 5 bolts instead of 6. Somebody sealed the back corner with what looks like Copper RTV and filled the bolt hole in the valve cover. :wtf2:

Reread it maybe it does need setting time.

I don't think there's a bolt in it...that's what worries me. Either they lost the bolt or *****'d the head. lol

Well, you could re-tap the hole and put a slightly larger bolt in it if it is fudged up. Hopefully they just lost it!

Yeah...tap the hole.
That means more money. :flame:

Just means I will be doing the passengerside first when I get around to doing it.

if there is no bolt in the hole i would not worry about it too much. i would find a valve cover bolt and just stick it in there. it will most likely hold. if the hole is stripped i would get a bit of jbweld or somwthing similar and put a bit in the hole and stick the bolt in it and try to snug it up with the valve cover off and no gasket. then give it some time to dry. take bolt out and hopefully it will hold. its not like there is that much pressure on the valve covers.
