It's amazing the little plastic deals everywhere else are fine. I didn't even know they were using plastic for that sort of thing back then.

yup they are everywhere. some are just subjected to more stress than others. i am surprised you have not had to deal with the plastic wiper bushings failing yet.

i thought you might of had to deal with but didn't remember 100%. old plastic gets brittle eventually.

Oh yeah, the motor had locked itself up and in the process of trying to get it unlocked both bushings blew up. haha
