Here's a comparison for you guys. The one on the left is the aftermarket crank I bought off eBay which is supposed to go on an 84. The crank in the middle is a new old stock crank. The one on the right is the one good original crank off of the truck. The little black disc is supposed to go between the crank and the mechanism, and it will not fit on the aftermarket one.

NOS FTW!! Those things have been sitting on the shelf for over 20 years.

I thought it was pretty cool! I'm going to put the original window cranks off of the truck in the boxes just to keep them around

Whoops I just realized I posted the wrong ebay picture on the other page. Well anyways I believe those window cranks I got from eBay are for an older Dodge? Oh well at least I have some genuine Mopar cranks now. I added this little touch for the car show this spring. It's a fire dozer operators helmet and face shield that I've had laying around for a while.

bring it. i occasionally bring my truck down to the car shows. people appreciate even when they are not perfect. just when they are perfect people wonder how you kept them that way. there is a guy here who has a 70's dodge truck who goes to the show all the time in the summer. i was talking with him and apparently his truck is all stock other than 1 brake job. everything else is still stock.
here is a picture of it

I wish there were car shows here that actually appreciated Mopars and had trucks. If there were, I'd totally take either of my trucks out.

i don't go to the car shows to looks at newer stuff. i hate when people in there newer vehicles show up. the only exception to that is expensive or rarer new cars like a dodge viper or ford GT. stuff you don't see rolling down the street every day

Well, you have to realize that this is in a town of 13,000 so the most expensive car you are likely to see is probably worth $50,000 haha. Nothing like a Viper or GT. I've been bring stuff to this show for 5 years now. In the truck section of the show there are always people that show up with mid 90s OBS Ford trucks, I don't understand it. The truck section is always really small. There are also a lot of people that show up with new mustangs, new camaros, new challengers, and there is always this one chick that shows up with a Pontiac GTP.

definitely sounds like you should bring your truck to the car show if crap like that is showing up. show them what a real show truck looks like.

Exactly what I was thinking haha. The only reason I was considering bringing this truck is because I like to alternate what I bring every year. I wouldn't even consider bringing it if it wasn't a 30 year old fire truck with 8,000 miles on it. I really don't understand why they bring the 90s Fords, but there are 3 of them that show up every year.

Just to let you guys know, I am still alive. Been so busy the last couple years I haven't done much to the truck or even been on this forum. I'm not sure what happened to the rest of the pictures in this thread?:wtf2:

Anyways, here's a recent picture of the truck, still the same yet.
