used motor oil usually take off any paint that is not oil and gas resistant. may or may not work on plastic dip.

Well got most of the dip off today. Finally lol maybe can get the rest tomorrow

New problem. It's been sitting awhile so I drove it around Saturday and the longer I drove it the worse it got. It started acting like it wasn't getting gas and just got worse till it died. So I changed the fuel filter but it didn't help. So today I changed the coil and drove it down the road and it did the same thing. So does anybody have a clue what's the problem

they are usually not too bad to change. they are on the passenger side of the block under the alternator

Me and my dad got the new fuel pump installed and now the truck doesn't have any spark.

have you checked the distributor cap? also are you grounding the spark plugs when cranking the engine? if they are not ground you will not see any spark.

My dad grounded it. He's a certified dodge mechanic. He just didn't have a lot of his tools to check everything out. He said it might be the distributor cap. I'm trying to help him out he's got a lot on his plate to mess with my problems lol

pulling the distributor cap to inspect things is fairly easy. just 2 clips holding it on.
