Ran your kits on both of my trucks, both are 2" kits, stock wheels and tires.

Whats involved once buying the stuff from hellbentsteel? Any tools i need to rent?

I took mine to a shop. LOL

I did my last one though. basic tools needed (some bigass wrenches) and a spring compressor.

I am looking to do this to my truck in the very near future, i am guessing that an alignment is necessary after the install?

Either install, solid axle or independent suspension, does not require any special tools, just basic shop tools. A spring compressor can be helpful to eliminate some of the dis-assembly steps, but not required.
