Ok so here is what I did after Auxbeam didn't like where I was going to mount. And honestly a 42" lightbar is too small for that insert. Once I removed the plastic I had two gaping holes on either side that just looked awful. I mounted under the fascia drilling into the plastic underside, nothing in the way and seemed pretty sturdy... The truck is lifted (4.5") so I don't anticipate any issues with it being underneath, anyone have experience to the contrary?

Most of us take the insert out, mount the beam and cut the Middle portion of the insert out and trim the ends to fill the holes. This is my 42” but I can’t find a pic with the insert back in. 7d888b20c99f06b5b607d476f0f7030f.jpg

Nope, far from it, but now that you mention it, flooding isn't unheard of UGH. Well I can always take Dbush36's advice or just chalk it up to it was only $100 lightbar.

if I put one in, that's where I'll put it (in the insert section on my sport bumper)

just as a note guys. After 1 year my CJC Offroad lightbar brackets have rusted quite badly. I've contacted them but after speaking on the phone and sending them pictures I have not heard back from them. I'm hoping they will replace them but I haven't heard back from them.

Bought a 42 inch curved bar

Now my question is how do I get to the insert in the bumper. I haven’t crawled under the truck to look but is there direct access to the panel that pops out from below?

Also how do the mount bolt up to the tow ring mounts. Make a bracket, buy a bracket, or directly bolt on?

This is what I installed.

This light bar is worth the money. Fairly inexpensive for how bright it is!

I've learned that inexpensive bars rust, check out this company out of Texas called #plashlights the have great prices and there lights are comparable to rigid. Same mounts and housing. They cost but not as much as rigid, baja, etc.

Those look to be a straight light bar, not curved.

Someone tried the Vision X 40" XPL lo pro LED light bar i the sport bumper?

Looks like a fordable Vision X bar

https://www.visionxusa.com/shop/xpl-led-light-bar/

I am also curious about this. Not a lot of VisionX on this forum. I have not seen anyone on this forum run VisionX except me.
However, I am curious to hear some feedback on the XPL.
