Got the most important mod done last night, my custom Retro Shop lights! These are OEM projectors with Granite Crystal bezels, gloss black shrouds, lightly tinted turn signal and reflector, and FXR projectors with 50W HIDs. We used the new Canbus adapters with no harness and they are working great so far. Installation was a breeze without the relay harness to deal with. These lights really transform the look of the truck. I'll do a better photoshoot once I get the tires installed and the windows tinted.

blame me? LOL - your truck wasn't supposed to be here for 2 more weeks, hahaha

LOL. I had to blame someone. They are on the truck for delivery today!

Come on now Jeremy, suck it up ;) , we already know it's always the parts guy's fault.

Besides, his truck, the one he actually ordered is still 2 weeks out. It isn't anyone's fault he's a sucker for a good sales pitch on a two-tone screw-up? :D

OP, NICE!! Almost got that color but fell for the silver instead. :D

Did a few mods on Friday. First was the tint, went with 10% all around and a 5% windshield brow. It's perfect for what I wanted. Still a bit hard to see when backing a trailer at night with the windows up, but otherwise it's fine. I also installed my new Bedrug, RollBak bed cover and drop in AEM filter from the old truck, and stole the Moes 87mm throttle body from the Jeep. Sorry for the we pics, it's been raining non-stop for 3 days. Hopefully my tires will be here today...

Then Saturday I hitched up the trailer with 300 miles on the clock. Had to do some porch work for my mother-in-law so needed the trailer to haul some wood. Trailer is about 900 lbs and I had probably 300 lbs loaded on it. It was barely noticeable on my 100 mile round trip. The truck did down shift on about half of the hills but I absolutely love the quick seamless shifts of the 8 speed. The old 5 speed that I had in my 2010 1500 and even the 6 speed in the Power Wagon allowed you to lose a lot of speed up a hill before dropping a gear. The 8 speed drops to 7th gear before you start losing speed, the way it should be. The Power Wagon on heavy 35s was terrible about dropping 4-5 MPH before down shifting then you're trying to play catch up and it ends up dropping to 4th, then you're going 4 MPH over what the cruise was set at when you got to the top of a hill (short Oklahoma rolling hills).

Forgot about one more mod that was installed right after I picked up the truck. My center console lock box. These are very well built and fit perfect. Not sure how big of a gun you could easily get in there, but i can fit my little Taurus .45 in there with no problems. With the cover on, you can't tell there's a safe there.

Here's a link to his facebook page to anyone who's interested (Great prices compared to the other options): https://www.facebook.com/ramlockbox

Got my tires installed finally. Went with 275/60/20 Toyo A/T IIs. I think they look good but I desperately need to level the front! Bilstein 5100s are already on order. I'd like to have a taller tire but don't need a heavy E rated tire on this truck.

Ugh! Such truth here, my '11 was bad, my '13 is worse.
Unless I'm going over 70, I keep my 2500 in 5th!
Cruise set at 65, I'd be between 58 and 70!

JUNK! It's got plenty of power, just a terribly programmed cruise / trans.
Loving the new truck, I still think you should paint your wheels graphite.

I took my first road trip without a trailer this weekend, about 200 miles round trip. I noticed that even with the 3.92 gears the truck still likes to drop to 7th gear on hills. It does it so seamlessly that I don't mind at all. I guess it's better to drop a gear than lug the engine up hills. Mpg was about 14 but I was running a bit over the speed limit most of the way. They truck rides great at 85-90. ;)

The 8 speed is pretty sweet. I can't say I really miss the power wagon that much. Sure I can't go offroading like I used to, but this truck is great on the highway and is pretty damn quick!

Beautiful truck! Now that is a color combination I actually like as much, if not better than mine.
