need help with new rims with tire size

im going to be purchasing new rims and tires in the near future and needed som info on tire size im thinking about lowering it in later on but not right at the moment but im going with 22 inch helo 866 with a 10mm offset debating on 24s but dont want the tires to look like they came from the rubber band isle at office max and dont want them to rub any ideas on tire size thats my main concern at the moment.

I've actually been doing a lot of research on this myself lately and what I can tell you is if you have the stock 20's right now going to those 22's for sure a 2/4 drop is perfectly fine and 305/45/22 seems to be the tire a lot of people are going to on a 9 to 10 inch rim. 285/45/22 is another option, but I believe you only would want to go up to a 9 inch rim on that one.

Don't take this as an absolute, it's just what I've been reading so far. My local discount tire has also been very helpful in these questions too.

I'm test fitting a Vision Bel Air 6 22 later this week. It has a +8 offset with I think a 5.6 back spacing.

Nitto makes a 420Q now too, which seems to be an excellent tire.

That actually what I was looking as was the 420s I got a few buddies with them and they seem to like them
