Hello owners,
Not to waste anyone's time . I got new set off tyres (Yokohama 70/315/17). To go my king shocks.

And i have this friend chewing my ear off telling me i should upgrade my defs so they handle such big tyers (not that big in my opinion)

So is he correct and i should get them? If so how ?

Upgrade? I put 35's on mine, stock 3.21 gears.
Yours the 5 or 6 speed, basically the same, and you have what gears, 3.55's?

Your tires are the same as running a 35 and a lot of members, including me, are running them on 3.21 gears. I have an 8 speed, cant speak for a lower speed trans.

Yup, that tire is maybe 1.5" to 2" taller than your factory 33's...I wouldn't worry at all.

Yes, you are fine. Any larger on the tires and it would be a different story.

There is no downside really to using stock until or unless it breaks. it isn't the tire upgrade that will kill it, it is what you do with it. If you are wheeling hard, weeny stock axles and other suspension parts in a 1500 will pay the price. If you are reasonable with it, no issues.
