That makes sense , when I go home to the Great state of southern ARKANSAS from Bristol (NE ) Tennessee approximately 750 miles one way , I do dump more than my normal daily driving.Every other weekend I do about 200mi hwy. Otherwise it's mix 80city/20hwy.

Some say interstate driving produces less oil in the catch can .....I disagree at least for me .
You shouldn't be worried , in fact just the opposite Sir , you should just be happy you have an oil catch can installed !Is that a lot? What would be a normal amount? I typically get that amount, but the intervals vary between 1000 and 2000 miles. SoCal driving, stop and go freeway traffic, with a couple of 500 mile trips a month....should I be worried?

All that nasty oil , unburnt fuel , condensation and carbon deposits not going in your intake plenum is what an occ is all about [emoji38]
When I do a lot of highway driving I get much more than normal in my OCC , about the same amount as yours there .
This is mine after a 1750 mile round trip in 5 days of driving last summer , mostly highway but mixed with some all around and stop n go driving as well.
The amount of oil captured by the oil catch Can is largely due to driving style and a good clean and properly working Positive Crankcase Vent (PCV)
IMO , this just means your PCV is working properly.
Some good reading on the operation of the PCV can be found here :

Hope this helps !
Good deal Sir , better late than never imo.
Braided hoses and ends upgrade. The ends go on the hose before pushing them on the barbed fittings. For looks mainly.I see the hose fittings are you have are different then mine. I just pushed mine onto the fittings. Your hoses seem to have metal ends on them?
