Opening After Market Tail Lights

Has anyone tried to get inside some after tails to paint the housing im looking into getting some led tails and painting the housing to match my truck .Any ideas ?

I did once, they were broke already so I wasnt upset when I broke the lens
So much harder then all of the headlights I've done

cutting them open might be the only way than i was thinking using a heat gun and some pry tools would open them babys up

Probably wouldn't have hurt to leave them in a bit longer then I did

one of my buds on another forum did a set of the ones I have. messed up the lenses big time. The anzo looking ones I've seen and heard are easier to open

I would love to get some tail led that are all black ( matches my truck) so u cant tell then when stepping on the brakes, they are bright...hehehe......but because I like chrome, im probly gonna get some led tails with chrome.

Im not really a fan of the euro look thats why i wanted to get mine painted to match my tcuk might have to just go with some tinted tails from JJ
