I was getting 12 mpg for the first 800 miles and I’m currently at 1050 miles and I’m getting 16 mpg does it get any better than this?
Yes. No. Maybe so.

Too many factors to give a definitive answer, but I will say that the ET doesn't do anything measurable for most driving situations...

I just naturally tend to be curious as to my gas mileage and do monitor it. My biggest surprise has been how far off the trucks mileage computer is. I’ll fill up and look at it before resetting and think - well that’s not bad. And the I’ll calculate it myself and get at least 1 mpg less, sometimes more like 1.3 mpg less.

Interesting...whenever I've done the hand calculation after I've filled up and compare it, the two are never more than about .3 MPG difference. I get about 14 - 14.5 MPG all around driving. I get over 20 MPG when I'm on the highway at 60+ MPH, but I live rural and highway driving is only a couple times a month for maybe an hour or so.

Unless I make a special trip towards Austin, the fastest I ever see is 60 mph on loop around city, but not really a Loop but just State Hwy. I do average 13-18ish mpg in city/rural driving, nothing to brag about, but it is a Hemi and not a Prius, LOL.

mileages depends on the driver .. drive hard and get lower mpg ... i now have a 2023 Laramie eTorque hemi, bought 12/111/23 .. about 650 miles on it so far .. overall mpg at 19.1 (click on my Fuelly link) .. also this is not my first hemi (click on my sold Fuelly links) the Ram 2500 cut out cylds but did not have start/stop, sit at a light and watch the mpg fade away FAST .... i do not think mpg will increase with break in, has NEVER worked that way for me in my 74 yrs

Which can (and I do) be disabled by engaging your ERS.

Thanks for any help. Paul
Welcome to the Ram Forum, Paul what is your gear ratio, 3.21 or 3.92 W/ 3.21 you will get better milage but as proven on here the 3.92 is better for towing, also what transmission do you have the 6 speed or the ZF 8 speed.
