Projector Headlights

I have the factory projector headlight in my 2015 RAM 1500 Sport. I'm looking to change but most say not compactible with factory projector headlights or come with resistors. Can the computer be re-programed so that non-projector can be used and \ or no resistor?

The physical plugs are different, it's not just projection vs not. The computer settings are typically for switching between led, hid, halogen.
