Hello folks,
Been creepin' on the site and learning a lot concerning OEM upgrades (foot well lights, premium cluster upgrades).
I have a 2018 2500 Tradesman that was equipped with the 3.0 uconnect. I have installed a 5.0 from a 2017. All works perfectly (XM, VR) with the exception of the compass and rear camera that needs rerouted to the new radio. The compass is understood as there is no overhead console. I will deal with this later.
As I was installing, I attempted to locate the connector in the wiring harness immediately behind the radio to split the camera signal.
It is not present in my 2018.
My radio displays a "check your surroundings" message followed by a "camera not available". message.
No blue screen.
How do I split the signal so it is displayed on both the mirror and radio?
