Ok guys, I really don't want to lift but I have to in order to have the rear clear a retaining wall. I need a full inch and a half to make this happen. If I go with a 2" lift, is it actually 2" or do I need to step up to 4"?

Cheaper to notch the retaining wall with a sledge hammer lol-
Wish I had a immovable object to convince my wife “ well **** hunny, we will just have to lift the truck so I don’t ruin that nice custom flower bed”

Sorry - I know this was of no help, but constituted as a bump-

Ha! Unfortunately there is a cement walkway behind it and that would mean breaking up the cement, digging under it and laying a new cement walkway at a nasty decline... Still probably cheaper but not by much and it wouldn't make my truck look any better...hahaha

A two inch lift would be a leveling kit. That bring the front up 2 inches. You will have to find a suspension lift kit that has at least a two inch lift in back.

Would a 2" body lift help? If you are just trying to get your bumper over the wall, that might be the ticket

Possibly... Is that a true 6" all around?
It would be 5.5 up front and either 3 or 5" in the back, depending on which springs you choose and how much rake you want to retain.

Scratching my head... if you're trying to clear a retaining wall and need 2 inches of clearance (assuming you are backing in since you're focused on the rear height), why not a ramp? 4x6 cut on an angle to give you that clearance?

Don't get me wrong, I think lifting is the better way all around!

Because sometimes it'll be other cars there plus climbing wood ramps covered in ice is harder than it sounds

If ground clearance is what you're after you're going to need a suspension lift kit. A leveling kit with 35 inch tires will only net you one inch of ground clearance, if you buy a true 35 inch tire that is.

No matter what lift you do you are not going to change the height of the diffs except for increasing tire size. Everything on a lift is done above the axles. This is where portal axles are a huge benefit.

I only need the bed to clear it (1.5") and need the bed to go back over the retaining wall about a foot or 2

I used the RC 2.5" Lift kit. After settling, it raised the front 2 3/8" and the rear 1 7/8".

Yep that's right mohemipar I didn't finish my statement.

With a 6 inch suspension lift you can put on 37 in tires and that will get you closer to that 2 inches of lift that you're looking for.

If you just want the bed to clear over a wall than you could just simply install a rear coil spacer. This will lift the bed up. However, if you put a 1 - 2 inch spacer in the rear, the front of the truck is going to be so low in comparison to the rear it would be ridiculous. So then to compensate you should do something in the front as well.

Well yes, that's why I'm looking for an entire lift.

Am I understanding this correct? I'd need a 6" lift plus 37" tires to have an extra 2" of clearance?

Are you trying to load/unload over the wall or is this simply for empty bed parking? Asking so you consider added bed weight squat if unloading/loading. If that's the case, you'll definitely want to clear as much as possible.

If you want to measure the height of your wall, I'll run outside in the cold and try to measure ground to undercarriage clearance. I've got 6 inch BDS lift w/ 37 inch Toyo open country's
