Red break light on dash

I am having trouble with the red brake light on my dash it was going on and off at times but now its just staying on. I checked just about everything and can find anything wrong.

The "Brake" light by itself is usually related to the parking brake and it's sensor switch.

The parking brake switch would be my 1st and easiest thing to check . It could even be the spring that holds the pedal in a retracted position has failed . Try this just pull up on the foot pedal, see what happens. Check fluid level and the sensor for that . Then it gets more in depth . Good luck.
