running light stays on and flashes fast with hood

My dash left turn signal started flashing fast. I figured that I must have blown a lamp but when I took a look the left running signal was on dim all the time even with the headlights off. When I turned on the left-hand turn signal the front lamp flashed on and off but fast along with the rear left signal. What complicated the problem was that when I opened up my hood to look at the wiring, I noticed that my hood light was flashing with the left-hand turn signal I know I need to dig into the wiring harness but I'm hoping that somebody had this problem and knows where the short is!
