Smoked Lights

I eventually want to go the all black look for my black '12 sport and I'm looking into getting smoked third brake light and tails. I know how to VHT nightshade lenses as I did it on several of my other cars but I want the led lights so I'm just going to get the ones that are already smoked. Has anyone gotten these from eBay and have any pics on how they look?

I have a set of laminx tint n classified I'll cut you good deal. Have also heard good things about vht

I have the Spyder Black Housing/Tinted LED Tails. There is hardly a tint to them, but I like the way they look cause you can still see the housing and the inside during the day. I have the RECON Smoked LED third brake light. VERY dark tint and good light output. It keeps the center of the attention on my tails in my opinion. I haven't taken any pics of them at night yet (I need to), but they are BRIGHT! And I have the LED light strip above the bumper, under the tailgate. If you want darker tinted tails, go with the same ones I have, but get RECON. But, RECON is higher than my public service salary can afford! I'm also going with the SPYDER Black Housing/Tinted CCFL Headlights. I get my stuff from carid.com. If you call them and ask for a discount, you can sometimes get 3-10% off if you spend a good bit. Third brake light could be this: Spyder® BKL-DRAM09-LED-SM (9027949) - Dodge Ram 2012 Smoke LED 3rd Brake Light

But there's no picture of them yet so not sure but would like to stay with the same brand.


Sill up in the air about headlights. I think I want to go projectors though.

Go with Recon if you want darker tails and third brake light. I've had both Spyder and Recon, and Recon has a better and darker tint to them. Find a dealer on ebay that accepts offers and offer $300 for the tails, thats what I got mine for.

Here's a shot of mine with smoked LED tails and 3rd. I did get them from eBay. I will tell you that the white lighting from the 3rd brake light is a lot less lighting then stock but it makes for a really nice look.

Looking good man. Whoever said pocket flares make the stock wheels sit too deep was sucking balls, obviously you got spacers?

Yes, as a couple posts earlier asked. I didn't paint mine, these were the spyder LED tails and they came this way new - with the tint.
