Before I start nodding a vehicle I always like to get a baseline. I am going to be putting mine on a mustang dyno that is notorious for being low. So I am curious what the going rate is for a stock 09-13 ram 2wd hemi is putting down? Numbers really aren't that important to me but it is nice to see gains when doing mods and always leads to good info on what a vehicle likes or dislikes and this is my first hemi I have ever modded so I'm excited.

Hello.
Seams as the 2009-12 Dodge Ram 5.7L Hemi makes 390 HP and 407 ft-lb torque. However with the new "Fuel-Saver" technology the 2013 5.7L Hemi makes 395 HP and 410 ft-lb torque. I hope this helps. I'm not sure if this is BHP or RWHP.

Those are at the crank numbers. On the dyno you'll likely see 280-290.

Ok, just got off the phone with my fiances neighbor. 2012 Dodge Ram R/T with a 6 speed. 298 RWHP. Says he doesn't know which rear end gear he has and doesn't care. He's the old type.. no offence to anyone. He got his truck along with his retirement.

You can dyno the same truck on different types of dynos and get different numbers.
They're a tuning tool only. I don't care if it makes 250hp as long as I can track any increases or decreases with new mods.

I know they are a tuning tool and I know dynos are different. Was just curious what the avg was with these trucks.

300 rwhp is really nice in a truck. not many manufactures that can claim that. Just gotta work around the PCM and TCM. The 5 hps difference between the '12 and '13 is because Ram now has a electric steering box.

Mine came in low at 275ish stock

I just looked at the mods in your sig and am curious what kind of numbers you made after mods im looking to do pretty much the same to my 13 when tuning becomes available. Also did you notice an increase in mpg. Thanks

Greychevy is now running 13.3's in a 4wd truck with stock 20's. That is a truck with some serious power. With his new track wheels and tires, he is going to be knocking on the doors of a 12 second 1/4 mile time naturally aspirated. If I had to guess his dyno numbers, I would say he is in the 375hp range. Like said above though, track times mean more than dyno numbers, and his times are a testament to the mods he has installed. That is the mod list everyone should follow for the best N/A performance gains.

All I need are some 4.56's in that case, :D

Yeah, dyno numbers are just that...numbers. The track tells the real story IMO. Mine dyno'd at 272HP & 291TQ stock and then at 329HP & 330TQ after the mods listed. And although I was tuned, my shift points were still at stock for that final dyno. These 4th gens are hard to dyno because you can't lock them in 3rd gear....it kept trying to downshift

Damn Fast, but I don't think it was on 20's

Post on NA says:

"my old 4x4 rims that I gave to fasthemiram05 that had pretty worn 265 goodyears on the back and some kind of 235s in the front
.....not the best set up for the track but they hooked good"

"Stock 265/70/17s whatever that is....31s I think "

Still, so awesome for a 4x4!!! to be kickin ass against a bunch of 2wd's

==============================================

My best NA Run was in the early Spring , May 2011, 13.89/98.5 at over 2600' (DA corrected to 13.4/102) usual summer time DA runs about 5k+
RCSB 4x4 with 3.55's....only mods at the time were Airaid intake/ Magnaflow catback+ypipe/ Diablo 93 tune and 28" DR's

My Dyno with those mods (minus teh DR's) was only 309hp lol! , fourth gear pull that peaked at about 5600rpm on 32" Grapplers

Supercharged now likely over 500whp with water/****, but still looking for more next season
LT Headers, 4.56's and a DTT locker should be a good Winter project, local track closes for 6 months in about 2 weeks

I'm a bit worried 4.56's may be too low for my 28" DR's
...I think you're right in the sweet spot with a 31" tire and 4.56's

I wish there was a 4.30:1 available right between 4.10's and 4.56's
If 4.10's are not low enough I'd be pissed, and if 4.56's are too low I'll have to replace all 4 of my DR's for a taller 30"-31".

decisions :insane:
