I’m going to get the new belltech 2/4 a few of you have installed. I see most guys who have 24’s run 305/35/24 but I want to run 285/40/24. It matches my rim width better and keeps the speedo accurate as the overall diameter is 33 on those.
Anybody have problems rubbing with the stock 20’s and stock 275/60/20’s?
I know mine will b 10mm wider but its pretty close.
Would the 20mm wider 305’s be closer to rubbing or the 1/2” taller 285/40 be closer?

Looks like @dracman might have the answer.

Its nearly drop in. I had not much trouble but its not uncommon to run into issues.

Get upper spring mounts/bushings for the front. It will save some fighting. You can have the new front spring and shock assembled before you start to take the stock stuff out. I have a 4x4. Not sure if 2wd is coil over strut or what.

Oh and i had to cut metal bump cup off the back and shorten it even more than what the kit provides.

Add durango length airlift and your set.

The taller would fit better than the wider.

The sidewall is where it get close to the upper a arm.

These are 22x10 -24 srt10s with a 305 45 22. No wheel spacers. The gap was tighter before lowering. I do rub one side on the swaybar at full lock but just a little.

The stock wheels and tires have way more clearance

I’ve ordered the rims. They are 24x10 and +26 I believe so they aren’t going to stick out much if at all. Hopefully no rubbing.
I suppose a 1/4” spacer would change that pretty easily

Thats what I had to do. My tires hit the front A-arm. I check the torque on the lugs from time to time and have never found them to be loose.

Now it’s flush to fender? Pics please?!

Sorry for the late reply. I just went and took some pictures. Mine are 22x10 with a +25 offset. I have about an inch, maybe less, before the tire is flush with the fender flare. Without the flares I think the tires would be flush with the body.

When the truck was on the lift the tires were much closer to the A-arm with the suspension drooped. Once the truck was back on the ground and the suspension leveled out, the tires were pushed away from the A-arms.

The front is stock height and the rear is lowered 2''. I would think if the front dropped more the A-arms would be even farther away from the tires.

Torture... my phone is not getting the pics right now!

Sounds good though. Mine is also just 2” lowered in the back. These pics and info is all with the 1/4” spacers in?

I’m just wondering if I shouldn’t even waste my trying them on the truck right out of the box if they’re going to rub without the spacers.

THANK YOU! I really appreciate you taking the time to do that :)

All pics and info INCLUDE the .25'' spacer. The tire shop guy got a little upset with me because they had to wait an extra day for my spacers to come in. They had to mount my old wheels and tires back onto the truck.

Make sure if you test fit them do it with the tires mounted to the wheel. When we first started we test fit them without tires and everything looked good. Then, when the tires got mounted we found out they rub.

Okay thanks. The tires are getting. Mounted and balanced as we speak. I’ll see if I can order some spacers ASAP!

Don't use anything larger than a .25" spacer. My tire shop refuses to touch anything using .5" or larger. It doesn't give your lug nuts enough bolt thread to bite onto securely.

Also, the tire shop scratched the hell out of two of my wheels from their impact wrench. Try and get them to wrap tape or something around the socket before they mount them!

I’d go with Durango bags (I will be)
Hopefully 10-15lbs is air does the trick any more and the ride will be super rough. Looks great still imo
