Does anyone run a stubby? Do you get better reception than the OEM antenna?

I've never found a stubby that works as well as a regular oem antenna. But, it depends on where you live. If you live in an area with lots of strong radio signals they work fine. Farther away, the bigger the antenna the better.

I never had good luck with the really short ones. I had a 13" one I think that worked great, it got stolen, bought the same kind again, but it never worked like that one did, so I went back to the stocker.

i didnt notice much drop in reception on local stations, but for distant stations their was definatley a loss in signal strength on all the 3 stubbies that i tried.

but just to note - when i say local i mean within a 20mile radius.
