I have 2 running 60's SBCs right now. They are very quiet and both have mildly lumpy cams. No injectors to make noise. If either of them had anything that sounded remotely like the 'Hemi Tick', it would take a whole 20 mins to diagnose which lifter it was and swap it out it. And I'd still have time to shotgun a beer before buttoning it back up.

The GC didn't have a chance when she seen a torrid red Challenger , she drove a couple then we went inside and special ordered a 16 Gomango Orange , completely loaded with a moon roof . That was in August 2015 .[emoji16][emoji16]

My wife hates cars. She wants true 4x4 at a minimum, prefers a vehicle with a frame and wants somthing bigger and taller so its a little safer in an accident. We have seen to many cars and small suv’s completely demolished in accidents against bigger vehicles. That is the only reason she is hesitant to get a jeep unlimited.... me too. She will probobly end up with a CC short bed half ton.

I owned slot of those engines when I started driving, don't recall rattles or knocks. When tuned they were quite and smooth.

We looked at and drove almost every AWD 3-row full size SUV and crossover when we were looking for a new vehicle for my wife in Oct-Nov. She wanted 'manageable big' without the minivan look. It came down to the Durango, Mazda CX9, and the VW Atlas. The VW won in the end because she liked the tech, looks, and roominess over the others. (Not my first choice)

It's got 4k miles on it already because we took it to FL in Dec. She's very happy with it so far and it worked well for the family trip. EPA rated mpg is a joke though... have not come close to seeing the claimed numbers.

Got cold here in central Florida, noticed what appears to be slight top end lifter tapping noise on cold start using the the 5-30W oil. Lasts a few mins and occurs when truck is left undriven for 2 days or more , ambient temperature approx 45F in garage.
